Any time I travel, I look out for local artist and artwork that inspire me. Often, these talented individuals are from small villages, usually selling their work on a street corner or in a small, obscure shop. These beautiful, humble artists need a forum that allows them to showcase their gifts to a wider audience. With Project OneWorldArt, my goal is to highlight and amplify the undiscovered talent that I meet through random universal chance and share it with the world.
Sometimes the artists I discover are actually famous in their homeland. Take Indonesian artist Arya Trimni Putra, featured below. We met under cosmic circumstances in Bali, as I randomly stumbled upon a gallery opening he was having at the 5-Star Sudamala Suites & Villas in Sanur. I am pleased to call Arya a good friend and fine business partner. A trained psychologist, Arya turned to painting as his form of healing after he suffered an unimaginable personal tragedy. His hidden talent as a painter is awe-inspiring and as a self-taught artist, his diversity of work is truly astonishing. The gallery below is a peek in to the various styes and techniques Arya uses to create his worlds on canvas.
